Abstract

Sexual violence in higher education institutions is a complex issue that requires a comprehensive and cross-sectoral approach, including the development of a culture of empathy and protection among campus communities. This study aims to analyze the knowledge, experiences, and attitudes of the academic community at Faletehan University toward sexual violence prevention, with a focus on the role of the Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (Satgas PPKS). This research employed a quantitative descriptive survey method using an online questionnaire distributed to 155 respondents, including students, lecturers, and administrative staff. The results indicate that the majority of respondents (43%) demonstrate a very good level of understanding and positive attitudes toward the existence and function of Satgas PPKS. However, a portion of respondents still exhibit low levels of understanding, suggesting gaps in awareness and education. Furthermore, respondents’ experiences and exposure to sexual violence issues appear to influence their attitudes. These findings highlight the need to strengthen educational initiatives, expand socialization efforts, and implement continuous training programs to enhance collective awareness. Such efforts are expected to foster a safer, more inclusive, and violence-free campus environment.
